Who are we?
Part of the City & County Healthcare Group family, Custom Care is a leader in care provision to hundreds of people across the West Midlands, whether they’re elderly, disabled and even younger who require assistance with their day-to-day lives. We aim to deliver high-quality care in the comfort of client’s homes, promoting independence and self-reliance where possible, through our team of highly-trained, dedicated care workers.
It’s the duty of our care workers, and our company as a whole, to provide peace of mind to both our clients and their families and friends, keeping all concerned safe in the knowledge the best care possible is being delivered.
Who we’re looking for as care workers
As one of the UK’s largest home care providers, we’re recruiting for care assistant roles across England, looking for compassionate, caring people who want to make a significant difference in the lives of those less fortunate in delivering home care. We help our clients live happy, independent lives, and our care workers are at the forefront of doing so.
As part of the team, you’ll be passionate about care, diligent, an excellent communicator and not adverse to the rigours of caring for a client’s more intimate needs – like helping with personal care.
As a care worker looking after someone in their own home, your daily duties will usually involve helping them get up in the morning, preparing meals, light housework, accompanying them on outings or social calls, shopping, help with medications and, as mentioned, see to personal care as well.
Delivering more than just a care
One of the primary benefits of home care is the opportunity for one-to-one care whereas residential care homes often involve a somewhat revolving door of care staff. As a care assistant with Custom Care, you’re offering more than just a fleeting presence in the lives of our clients. Our carers often become friends and companions to those they’re looking after who really get to know each other.
How to get started
Along with established carers, we accept aspiring care assistants who are completely new to the sector. For those who are in fact new, Custom Care provides a 12 week training course for those accepted into the program which comprises all you’ll need to know to provide top-notch care.
